Joan (Gregory) Tucker

Joan Tucker, 90 of Jeffersonville, IN passed away on Friday morning September 13, 2024, at Autumn Woods Health Campus in New Albany, IN.

She was born on September 10, 1934, in Midway, KY to Talmage and Ethel Penn Gregory.  Joan was a member of First Christian Church in Jeffersonville and enjoyed her volunteer work at her church and the Community Kitchen in Jeffersonville. Joan loved to watch many different cooking shows and was known for cooking her holiday meals, especially her broccoli casserole.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Omer Dean Tucker, sons, Michael Tucker and Frederick Tucker, and infant daughter, Lisa Tucker.

Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Dorothy Jean Tucker of Jeffersonville, grandchildren, Jason Tucker of Jeffersonville, Stephanie Zink (Jason) of Canton, MI, and Chad Tucker; great-grandchildren, Juleigh Tucker (Zach Vires) and Hailey Zink; great-greatgrandchildren, Matty Vires and Caleigh Nance.

Life Celebration Services will be at noon on Thursday, September 19, 2024, at First Christian Church 3209 Middle Road Jeffersonville, IN with burial in Crown Hill Cemetery in New Washington.  The visitation will be at the church from 10:00 am to 12:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Expressions of sympathy should be made to the Youth Group at her church or the Crusade for Children.
