Joan J. (Wise) Hayes

Joan J. Hayes 77, of Otisco, IN passed away on Tuesday August 3, 2021 at her home.

She was born on June 8, 1944, in Maysville, KY to William and Ruth Estelle Stribling Wise.   She was a former employee of Fischer’s Packing and General Electric and was a former Lobby Lady at McDonalds in Charlestown.  She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Jeffersonville and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.  Joan was preceded in death by her husband, Carlton Hayes in 2018.

She is survived by her daughter Shannon M. Stevens of Charlestown; step-sons, Michael E. Hayes and Steven F. Hayes both of Louisville, KY; 7 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 2:00 pm on Friday August 6, 2021, at St. Michael Catholic Church in Charlestown with burial in St. Michael Cemetery.  Visitation will be at Grayson Funeral Home from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday and from 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm on Friday.

The Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Thursday.
