Jimmie Edward “Jim” Keith, 70, of Charlestown died peacefully on Friday September 23, 2011 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Spencer, IN but grew up in Stearns, KY as one of 23 children.  Jim retired from Ford Motor Company and was a United States Army veteran   He was a member of the VFW Post 1427, American Legion Post 335, Clark Masonic Lodge # 40, Scottish Rite and the Clark County Democrat Club.  He was a former past president of Little Pirate Football, and a former Charlestown Precinct Committeeman, retired Charlestown Township Trustee and he attended the Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years Alice “Faye” (Ison) Keith, sons; Mark Keith (Holly), Brian Keith (Sandy), Eric Keith (Laura) , daughter; Tracy Boettcher (Gary), brothers; Robert Keith (Barbara) of Bronston, KY, Danny Keith (Ann) of Louisville, KY, David Keith (Ellen) of Charlestown, sisters; Viola Nichols of Sloans Valley, KY and Mertie Yeskil of Oolitic, IN, grandchildren; Chris ( Tabitha), J.R. (Summer), Allison, Dana, Cara, Jacob, Austin, Madison, Peyton, and great granddaughter Stella and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday September 27, 2011 at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church in Charlestown with burial in Charlestown Cemetery.  Visitation will be at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown on Sunday from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., Monday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and on Tuesday after 9 a.m. at the church.

Masonic services will be held on Monday at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
