Jillian Rose Charlet, 22, died on Wednesday March 28, 2012 in Winston-Salem , NC as a result of injuries received in a car accident.
Jillian was born on August 23, 1989 in Jeffersonville , IN to Alan and Kimberly Beswick Charlet. She was a 2008 graduate of New Washington High School and was the 3rd leading scorer in Lady Mustang Basketball history. She attended Winston-Salem State University in Winston-Salem , NC on a full basketball scholarship and was due to graduate in May. She achieved high academic honors throughout her high school and college career. Jillian attended Graceland Baptist Church in New Albany . IN
Jillian is survived by her mother and step-father, Kimberly and Michael McFadden of Nabb, IN, her father; Alan Charlet of Hot Springs, Arkansas, sisters; Kiera Charlet of Nabb and Allison Redden and her husband Chris of California, grandparents; Rosalie Koenig of Cazenovia, NY, William Beswick and his wife Ellen of East Windsor, CT and Ruby Charlet of Morehead, KY.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday April 3, 2012 at the New Washington High School Gymnasium with burial in Charlestown Cemetery . Visitation will be at Grayson Funeral Home in New Washington from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday.
