Jewel T. (Townsley) Compton

Jewel T. Compton, 83 of Marysville, IN passed away on Thursday July 20, 2023 at Westminster Village North in Indianapolis, IN.

She was born on July 20, 1940, in Xenia, OH to Olaf and Bessie McKinney Townsley.  She was a former Postal Worker and member of New Hope Community Church.  She was preceded in death by her husband Jack Compton in May of this year, her sisters, Jane and Martha Townsley and a brother John Townsley.

Jewel is survived by her sons, Joseph “Skip” Compton and his wife Zina, of Indianapolis and Jarrett Compton and his wife, Mary Jo of Evansville, IN; brother, Neil Townsley and his wife Amanda of Daleville, AL; sister, Kay Tindall of Greenfield, IN; grandchildren, Jinian Iavarone and her husband, Jacob of West Allis, WI and Amanda Compton of Evansville; great grandchildren Sebastian Iavarone and Evelyn Iavarone.

Life Celebration Services will be at 2:00 pm on Thursday, July 27, 2023, at Grayson Funeral Home in New Washington with burial in Crown Hill Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Thursday.
