Jerry McVicker 81, of Sellersburg, IN passed away on Saturday, July 20, 2024, at Autumn Woods Health Campus in New Albany, IN.

Jerry was born on July 17, 1943, in West Palm Beach, Florida, the son of Charles Grover and Elsie Pearl McVicker. He retired from General Electric Appliance Park in Louisville, KY. after 35 years of service. Jerry served in the United States Army National Guard for six years, was a faithful member of Christ Community Church of the Nazarene in New Albany, IN, enjoyed bowling and was an avid Indiana University Basketball fan.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Joyce McVicker; children, Anita Tate (Mark) of Sellersburg, IN and Mike McVicker (Meghanne) of Memphis, IN; Papa to Garrett (Bayleigh), Alex, Kaitlyn (Jacob), Hannah, and Ember; Great-Papa to Jessalyn, Oakley, and Lily; several nieces, nephews and other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Roger McVicker, and grandson, Austin McVicker.

Life Celebration services will at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, July 23, 2024 at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown with burial in Charlestown Cemetery.  Visitation will begin on Tuesday from 10:00 A.M. to 2:00P.M. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Jerry may take the form of donations to his church or Alzheimer’s Association.
