Jerry Edward Mcbroom

Jerry Edward McBroom, 79 of Fort Myers, FL and formerly of New Washington, IN passed away on Monday, July 4, 2022, in Fort Myers.

Jerry was born on January 22, 1943, in Electra, TX the son of Dallas Lee and Ruby Moore McBroom.

Jerry retired from Colgate-Palmolive after 22 years of service to care for his wife Carolyn who preceded in death on January 3, 2003. They had five children. Jerry loved the Lord and became an ordained minister in Indiana. One of his passions was carpentry. The furniture he made was beautiful.

Jerry married Charlene (Wall) Curry on September 6, 2010, and they had 15 wonderful months before he suffered a stroke. Charlene has taken loving care of Jerry ever since.

Jerry is survived by his wife Charlene (Wall-Curry) McBroom of Fort Myers, FL, children, Jerry Lee McBroom and his wife Claudia of Clarksville, IN, Jeffery McBroom of New Washington, IN, and Angela Porter and her husband Barry of New Albany, IN; sister, Judy Golden and her husband Bud of Midland, TX; several grand and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Carolyn Fox McBroom, daughter Shannon McBroom, and son Joseph McBroom.

Life Celebration Services will be held on Monday, July 11, 2022, at 2:00 P.M. at the Grayson Funeral Home in New Washington, IN with burial in Crown Hill Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10:00 A.M. Monday to 2:00 P.M.
