Jerry L. Hogan

Jerry L. Hogan, 80, of Clarksville, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, August 9, 2026. He was born on July 24, 1946, in Borden, Indiana.

Jerry found great enjoyment in life’s quieter pleasures. He was especially fond of old westerns, with Gunsmoke holding a special place among his favorites. He cherished taking rides down by the river, appreciating the beauty that these moments offered. Trips to local flea markets were another source of happiness for Jerry, where he delighted in discovering new treasures.

A skilled welder and a man who appreciated the craftsmanship of his own hands, Jerry was also known for his interest in shooting guns. Above all else, nothing mattered more to Jerry than spending time with his family. He dearly loved the moments shared with those closest to him, treasuring the bonds he built throughout his life.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Emerson Hogan and Jean Taylor Hogan; and his siblings, Ted Jackson, Carlene Hogan, Sherry Middleton, Rita Hogan, Stephen Hogan, and David "Troy" Hogan.

Jerry is survived by his loving wife, Judith Hogan; son, Jerry (Trish) Yeary; sister, Pam (Joe) Dyer; step-children, Starlena (Larry) Williams, Maronica (Joey) Williams, Pam Braswell, Bobbie Jo Braswell, and Stacie Bendele; nieces, Amy Hogan, Tammy Hogan Bolin, and Emily Couch; and nephews, David Hogan, Damon Couch, and Logan Couch.

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, August 12, 2026 at Grayson Funeral Home (893 High Street, Charlestown, Indiana). Visitation will continue on Thursday at the funeral home from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. His Funeral Service will be at 11:00 am on Thursday, at the funeral home with burial to follow at Charlestown Cemetery.
