Jeffrey Douglas Aaron 48 of Charlestown, IN passed away on Monday evening April 29, 2024, at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born on December 30, 1975, in Louisville, KY to Jack and Darlene Braswell Aaron. He was a member of Faith World Church and was the fuel center manager for the Jay C Store in Charlestown. Jeff served on the Charlestown City Council for 12 years, enjoyed cheering for the Kentucky Wildcats Basketball team, watching Andy Griffith Show, vacationing at Pigeon Forge and Treasure Island Beach. He loved God, his family, the Charlestown community and talking to people, he never met a stranger.
Jeff was only two years old when his father, Jack F. Aaron passed away. He is also preceded in death by his stepfather who raised him, “Paps” Bill Akemon, uncle, Bobby Braswell, grandparents, Doug and Roberta Braswell, mother and father-in-law, John and Ruby Anderson, brother in laws, Sewell Whited and William Anderson.
Jeff is survived by his wife, Susan Anderson Aaron; son, Johnathan Aaron of Charlestown; daughter, Hannah Aaron, of Charlestown; mother, Darlene Akemon, of Charlestown; brothers, Jack Aaron (Teresa) of Marysville, IN, Brian Aaron (Jamie) of Charlestown; sister in law, Paula Anderson of Jeffersonville, IN; brothers in law, James Whited and Charles Whited both of Jeffersonville; his best friend, Tonya Moore; several nieces and nephews and cousins.
Life Celebration Services will be at 1:00 pm on Tuesday May 7, 2024, at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown with burial in Charlestown Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday and after 9:00 am on Tuesday.
