Jeffery "Jeff" L. Roberts, born on July 24, 1956, in Jeffersonville, Indiana, passed away on December 1, 2025, in Charlestown, Indiana. Jeff enjoyed a fulfilling career as a heavy equipment operator, retiring to enjoy the simple pleasures in life that he cherished deeply.
Devoted to his family, Jeff was a loving husband to Yolanda Sprague Roberts, with whom he shared 45 beautiful years of marriage. He was a proud father to his son, Jake Roberts, and a caring son to his beloved mother, Dottie Roberts. Jeff is also remembered by his siblings, including brother Robin Roberts (Joanie) and sister Karen Newcomb. His family tree was further expanded by cherished nieces Jesse Ledbetter (BD) and Aimee Doherty (Adam), nephew Matt Roberts (Kayla), and nephews Taylor and Tyler Newcomb, along with several great nieces and a great nephew.
In his lifetime, Jeff was known for his lighthearted and jovial personality, often seen as a prankster and instigator of fun. He was well-loved for his ability to bring laughter to those around him and his unwavering loyalty as a friend. A firm believer in hard work, Jeff was proud of having never had to ask anyone for money, often putting in extra hours at work to ensure the well-being of his family.
Jeff's memories are fondly held by those who recall his love for camping and fishing, where he frequently took his son and friends on adventures into nature. He particularly relished his family trip out west, visiting various parks and states, often reminiscing about the joy such experiences brought him. His playful spirit truly shone during weekends at Delany Park, where laughter filled the air more than any other time.
An animal lover at heart, Jeff also enjoyed college sports, ardently supporting his favorite teams, especially the Louisville Cardinals in both football and basketball. His ability to create joy and connection in both the simple and grand moments of life left an indelible mark on his loved ones.
Jeff was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth "Munk" Roberts, and his sister, Carmen Rose. He will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege to know him.

Visitation will be held at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown, Indiana, from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Sunday, December 7, 2025, and again on Monday, December 8, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a Celebration of his Life at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in Charlestown Cemetery.
