Janis Louise Jones, 78 of Charlestown, IN passed away on Friday February 5, 2016 at Kentuckiana Medical Center in Clarksville, IN.
She was born on October 30, 1937 in Dwarf, KY to Roscoe and Sarah Combs Richie. She was a former employee of Hesco Industries and a former owner of Concrete Country. She was also a faithful member of the Main Cross Baptist Church in Charlestown.
She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings.
Survivors include her husband, Buford Jones; daughter, Tina Barnes of Charlestown; sons, Roscoe Gabbard of Lawrenceburg, KY and Harold (Linda) Gabbard of Yules, FL; step-daughters, Janice (Terry) Raney and Dedra (Steve) Graebe both of Charlestown; step-sons, Charlie (Barbara) Jones, Ronnie (Retha) Jones and Donnie (Regina) Jones all of Charlestown; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Saturday February 13, 2016 at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown with burial in Charlestown Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 pm to 8 pm on Friday and after 9 am on Saturday.
