Janet Marie (Ray) Pike

Janet Marie Pike 68, of Charlestown, IN passed away on Sunday morning, August 20, 2023, at her home.

She was born on August 29, 1954, in Louisville, KY to James T. and Mary A. Flaherty Ray.  Janet was a retired office worker and member of St. Michael Catholic Church in Charlestown, and American Legion Post 335.  She loved animals and rescued several cats and dogs.  Janet liked to stay active by walking and running, working in her flower garden, and meeting new people while riding with Rusty on the Harley Davidson.

Janet was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Tommy Ray and his wife Peggy, and Johnny Ray and his wife Doris; sister, Mary Ella Isaacs and her husband Tom; nephew, Logan Vardeman; and brother-in-law, Rus Ziegler.

Survivors include her husband of 26 years, Frederick ‘Rusty’ Pike; siblings, Charlie Kenny Ray (Nancy), Jo Neil Wilbert (Bob), Barbara Ziegler (Rus), Jeannie Levy (Frank), Shelly Mohr, Paula Ruth Ray and Danny Ray; and her special loving nieces, Shawn Vardeman (Greg) and Stephanie Bolton (Troy).

A Memorial Mass will be at 11:00 am on Friday, August 25, 2023, at St. Michael Catholic Church.
