James “Jimbo” Slaughter, 47, of Charlestown passed away Monday October 3, 2011 at his residence.
He was born on June 21, 1964 in Jeffersonville, IN the son of James E. Slaughter and Vickie Jean Warman.
Mr. Slaughter worked in construction and enjoyed hunting, fishing and also was former volunteer fireman for the Charlestown Fire Department.
Survivors include his father and step-mother, James E. and Nicki Slaughter, Sellersburg, IN; sisters, Marci Slaughter(William), Jeffersonville, Staff Sergeant Tina Kelly(Keith), Fairbanks, Alaska and Amy Jo Livers, Charlestown; brother, Chad Slaughter(Jill), Zionsville, IN; grandmother, Christine Pratt, Charlestown; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Vickie Jean Bailey.
Memorial services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday, October 7, 2011 at Grayson Funeral Home, Charlestown. Visitation will begin at 11:00 A.M. Friday until time of service.
