James Perkins, Sawyer, 73, of Charlestown, In, passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2015 at Clark Memorial Hospital.
He was born on September 15, 1941 to Charles and Frances (Brummett) Sawyer in Williamsburg, Ky. He was the former owner of Sawyers Bait Shop in Charlestown, IN, and a member of the First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn (Walker) Sawyer; son, Richard J. Sawyer of Charlestown, IN; daughter, Stacy L. Sillings of Charlestown, In; sister, Bernice Williams of Lexington, IN; grandchildren, Joshawa Sawyer, Stephanie Sillings, Jessica Sawyer, Hannah Sillings, and Jenna Sawyer; great-grandchildren, Ashlyn Sawyer, and Cruz Sawyer.
Memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at 12pm at the First United Methodist Church in Charlestown. Visitation will begin on Saturday after 10:30am till the time of the service. Grayson Funeral Home handling the arrangements.
Expressions of sympathy can be made to the Crusade For Children or First United Methodist Church.
