James Hobert Lewis, 90 of New Washington, IN passed away on Thursday October 1, 2015 at his home.
He was born on October 6, 1924 in Willisburg, KY to Nicholas and Melissa Lewis. He was an army veteran of World War II, a general laborer, a member of the Bloomfield, KY Masonic Lodge and the New Hope Community Church.
Mr. Lewis is survived by his wife, Minnie Wallace Lewis; daughter, Phyllis Ashbrook of New Washington; son, Eddie Williams of New Albany, IN; sister, Lavon Hawkins of Lawrenceburg, KY; 6 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 5, 2015 at 11am at the Grayson Funeral Home in New Washington, with burial to follow in the Crown Hill Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Sunday from 12pm to 6pm, and after 9am on Monday. Masonic services will be held at 5pm on Sunday.
