James Edward Keown, 79, of Jeffersonville passed away Friday August 19, 2011 at the Kentuckiana Medical Center.
He was born on July 27, 1932 the son of Charlie and Vatries Keown in Roundhill, Ky. He was a retired forklift operator and a member of the Kehoe Lane Church of God and an Air Force Veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors include a son, Gerald W. Keown, Enon, Ohio two daughters, Teresa Reynolds and Janel E. Keown both of Jeffersonville; sister, Sharon Rossbottom, Jeffersonville; three brothers, Dexter and Hastle Keown both of Louisville, Charles Keown, Floyd Knobs; 3 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Carolyn Beatrice Keown on December 13, 2003, sister Peggy Trulock and a brother Elmon Ray Keown, Sr..
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at Grayson Funeral Home, Charlestown with burial in Walnut Ridge Cemetery. Visitation 1 to 8 P.M. Monday and after 9 A.M. Tuesday until time of service.
