James A. Hahn, age 71, of Jeffersonville passed away Friday, March 30, 2012 at his home.
He was born August 6, 1940 in Rochester, NY to Edward J. and Dorothea Walz Hahn Sr. He was retired accountant and a member of the Catholic Faith. He was a graduate of Aquinas High School and St. John Fisher College in Rochester, NY.
Jim was a loving, devoted, and caring father. His warm smile, thoughtful quotes, and wonderful sense of humor will be missed by all of his family and friends.
Survivors include his daughters, Theresa Hahn, of Jeffersonville, Christine Hahn and Maureen Lewis (Dean), of New Albany, IN; their mother Eileen H. DiSalvo; brothers, Edward Jr. (Rosemary), Robert (Shirley), Herbert (Carolyn), Gerard (Frances) all of Rochester, NY; sisters, Virginia Mosher (Don), of Spencerport, NY and Lorraine, of Miramar, FL; grandson, Jackson James Lewis, of New Albany, IN; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Jim was preceded in death his parents and dear friend Ms. Elizabeth Elliott.
His funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1:00 PM Wednesday April 4, 2012 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, 1840 E. 8th Street, Jeffersonville, IN with burial in Charlestown Cemetery. Visitation will be held 11:00 AM until time of service at the church. Family requests that memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, or to a charity of your choice.
