He was a native of Matewan, WV. a truck driver and a member of the North Charlestown Church of God. He was preceded in death by his father James E. Tackett and sisters Sharon Risinger and Anna Louise Tackett.
Survivors include his wife June Deloach Tackett; son Scott Tackett, Georgetown, IN.; daughters, Tonya Moore, Charlestown and Jamie Tackett, West Virginia; step-daughter, Tonya Broughton, Charlestown; mother, Marina Tackett, Charlestown; sisters, Judy Hall, Charlestown and Barbara Hill, Texas; and five grandchildren.
