James David Bowen

James David Bowen, 65, of Charlestown, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, August 4, 2026. James worked for many years and later took over Bruce's Floor Covering in Charlestown. He enjoyed fishing, riding his motorcycle, and spending time with his family. James dearly loved his fiancé, Julie, and treated her family as his own.

He was born on September 1, 1960 at the Royal Air Force station Bentwaters, England. He is preceded in death by his mother, Edith (Ross) Darnell and 1 brother.

James is survived by his fiancé and partner of over 25 years, Julie Lee.

Cremation was chosen follow James' wishes. A Memorial Gathering will be held at Grayson Funeral Home (893 High Street, Charlestown) at a later date.

Memorial contributions in James' memory can be made to the family in care of Julie Lee.
