James Daniel “Cowboy” Blevins 84 of New Albany, IN passed away on Tuesday September 28, 2021, at his home.

He was born on October 5, 1936, in Buffalo, KY to John and Nonie Pearl Jenkins Blevins.  He was a former Supervisor in a sheet metal factory and a member of the Living Waters House of Prayer in Charlestown, IN.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Margie Blevins.

Survivors include his daughter, Tina Swaney (Paul) of Charlestown; sons, Steve Blevins (Betty) of Charlestown, James Blevins of Marysville, IN, Randy Blevins (Lynn) of Henryville, IN, Darrell Blevins (Dana) of New Albany, Donald Blevins (Maricel) of New Albany and Ronald Blevins (Karen) of Charlestown and David Haycraft (Vanessa); brother, Junior Blevins of Jeffersonville, IN; 19 Grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren.

Life Celebration Services will be at 2:00 pm Saturday October 2, 2021, at Living Waters House of Prayer, 1374 Market Street Charlestown, IN 47111 with burial in Charlestown Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm Saturday at the church.
