James Lee Atcher, Sr., 56 of Charlestown, IN passed away on Tuesday December 23, 2014 at Clark Memorial Hospital.
He was born on July 25, 1958 in Louisville, KY to Howard and Kitty Welch Atcher. He is preceded in death by his parents , sister; Carol Slinker, brothers; Edward and Robert Atcher.
Survivors include his daughters; Stacy Heil (Richie) and Shannon Combs (Paul) both of Charlestown, son; James Atcher, Jr also of Charlestown, sisters; Charlene Giesinger of Virginia, JoAnn Atcher of Louisville, KY, Rita Westlund of Simpsonville, Ky., brother; Carl Atcher of Clarksville, IN and 6 grandchildren Richie, Bailey, Ellen, Lilly, London, Evan and expecting a 7th Atcher and his dear friend and mother of his children, Darlene Crone of Scottsburg, IN.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday December 31, 2014 at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown with burial in Charlestown Cemetery. Visitation will be after 11 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Expressions of sympathy may go to the American Heart Association.
