Mr. Akemon was a native of Linefork, KY. He is survived by his wife Anita Ann Whittaker, two sons; James A. Akemon (Cindy) of Louisville, and Tommy Akemon of Austin, a daughter Tammy Gowen (David) of Louisville, 3 grandchildren; Donnie Garner, Alisha Garner, and Aaron Akemon. He also is survived by two brothers Sherrill and Hearl Gene Akemon, and two sisters; Betty Lou Burcham, and Fay McCory.
