James Martin Abbott, 73, of Scottsburg, IN, passed away Saturday, October 19, 2013 at Scott Villa Nursing Home.
He was born on August 11, 1940 to John M. and Celia (Cory) Abbott in Scottsburg, IN.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Edward Lee, William, Walter, and Kenneth Henderson, and Joseph Abbott; sisters, Viola Vojkufka, and Viva Stricker.
Survivors include his daughter, Karen Sabo (Dennis) of Bellevue, OH; brothers, John R. Abbott(Claudette) of Lexington, IN, Claudis R. Henderson (Dorothy) of Charlestown, IN; sisters, Vada Short of Scottsburg, IN, Virginia Abbott of Charlestown, IN, Vivian Bressler of Nabb, IN, Martha Righthouse of Nabb, IN, and Delcia Smith (Richard) of Marysville, IN; two grandchildren, Ashley Sabo and Dylan Sabo.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at 1pm at the Grayson Funeral Home in New Washington, with burial in the Barnes Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Tuesday, October 22, 2013 from 5pm to 8pm, and after 9am on Wednesday.
