Jackie Leo Sturgeon, Sr. 75, of Charlestown, IN passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2023, at his home.

He was born on August 17, 1947, in Louisville, Ky to Rudolph Doc and Mary Catherine Theiler Sturgeon.  Jackie was a retired welder for Marine Builders in Jeffersonville, IN and an Army veteran of the Vietnam War, and a member of the Calvary Apostolic Church in Jeffersonville.

Jackie was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Linda Rouse and Sharon Haycraft along with a brother, Billy Sturgeon.

Jackie is survived by his wife of 42 years, Pamela Klingsmith Sturgeon; sons, Jackie Sturgeon, Jr of Charlestown and Joshua M. Sturgeon and his wife Brooklyn of Charlestown; daughter Bonita Jones of Clarksville; sister, Bettie Lamb of Madison, IN; half-brother, Andy Roller of Charlestown; half-sisters, Mary Alice Powell of Kentucky, Diane Collins of Charlestown and Vera Dieterlen of Otisco; granddaughters, Lacey and Nicole and a great-granddaughter.  Jackie was also survived by his grand dog Gus.

Life Celebration Services will be at 1:00 pm on Thursday, January 19, 2023, at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown with burial in Charlestown Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm on Thursday.
