Ivan Wesley Daes, 88, of Charlestown, passed away on Thursday, December 4, 2014 at Kentuckiana Medical Center.
He was born on August 7, 1926 to Arthur and Myrtle Daes in Seymour, IN. He was a Navy Veteran of WWII, a retired salesman for Eastman Kodak, and a member of the First United Methodist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Verna Daes, and sons, Darin and Ray Daes.
Survivors include his companion, Fern Giltner, of Charlestown, IN; daughter, Anna Daes Wilson of Bryant, AR; sons, Richard Daes of Little Rock, AR, Brent Daes of Malvern, AR, and Kent Daes of Mayflower, AR; sister, Dorothy Murawski of Dearborn, MI; grandchildren, Matthew Dempsey, Connor Wilson, Sydney Wilson, Laura Daes, and Lea Daes.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2014 at 11am at the Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown, with burial to follow in the Charlestown Cemetery.
Expressions of sympathy can be made to the donor’s favorite charity.
