Herbert Sheets, 84 formerly of Charlestown died peacefully in his home on July 23, 2014 in Spring Hill, Florida. He was born on October 6, 1929 to Walter Sheets and Mary Anderson Sheets.
He was retired from Rapid Industries Inc. in Louisville, KY. and was an avid fan of horse racing.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Spencer Sheets; brothers, Ken Sheets of Madison, IN, Chris Sheets of New Albany, IN, and his sister, Deanne Hatley of Madison, IN.
He is preceeded in death by his parents, first wife Mary Margaret Mulhall, brothers Walter “Gene” Sheets and Gary Sheets and sister Gayla Baird Sheets.
There will be a memorial Service on Sunday September 14, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at the First United Methodist Church in Charlestown.
