Henry Clement Herndon

Mr. Herndon passed away Monday, September 13, 2010 at his home.

He was born on March 20, 1934 to William Clement and Elizabeth "Liz" Vada Carter Herndon in Bowling Green, KY. He was a retired pipefitter, welder, and maintenance Foreman for the old ICI Americas in Charlestown. He was also an Army Veteran. He was a member of the Charlestown American Legion Post 335 and a Kentucky Colonel. He spent most of his time with his precious five granddaughters that were the sunshine of his life. He also enjoyed woodworking, fishing, hunting, carving, and was an avid yard sale shopper. He was a Charlestown High School graduate class of 1952. He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister Faye Smith.

Survivors include his wife; Lana Fouse Herndon of Charlestown, IN; daughter; Sherry Cissell (Jeff) of Otisco, IN; sons; Mark Lane Herndon (Cherie) of Charlestown, IN and Tim Evan Herndon (Kendra) of Charlestown, IN; sister; Betty Hedge of Charlestown, IN; brothers; William Herndon, Jr. (Sharon) of New Albany, IN and Douglas Herndon of Jeffersonville, IN; granddaughters; Jessica, Tiffany, Michelle, Elizabeth, and Melissa.
