Helen E. (Bridgewater) Pettit

Helen E. Pettit, 83, of Marysville, IN, passed away on Monday, December 21, 2015 at Floyd Memorial Hospital.
She was born on October 5, 1932 to Howard L. and Bertha M. (Horner) Bridgewater in Lexington, IN. She worked for the former Taylor Drug Store in Jeffersonville for 35 years, and then worked for Rite-Aid for another 12 years. She was also a member of the Marysville Christian Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Ora “Bud” Pettit; brothers, Harold Bridgewater, and Leland Bridgewater.
Survivors include her daughters, Elizabeth A. Pettit of Marysville, IN, and Alice J. Johnston of Pensacola, FL; sister, Carolyn Gibson of Lexington, IN; grandchildren, Michelle Tidwell (Andrew), Zeb Johnston (Amy), and Rachael Johnston; great-grandchild, Logan Johnston.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at 6:30pm at the Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown. Visitation will begin after 12pm till time of the service. Burial will be at Emmanuel Cemetery.
