Helen Lyons, 86, of Charlestown passed away Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at her home.
She was born on October 6, 1925 in Viper, KY. Mrs. Lyons was a former employee of ICI in Charlestown a sales associate for The Barn Furniture Store in Jeffersonville and a Homemaker. She was a member of the North Charlestown Church of God and was an avid Bowler until the age of 80 a University of Kentucky fan and enjoyed shopping.
Survivors include her sons, Jack Lyons Taylorsville, KY, Jim Lyons and Danny Lyons both of Charlestown; daughter, Brenda Smothers, Charlestown; brothers, Kenneth Bach, Tucson, AZ and Frank Bach, Amelia, OH; grandchildren, Kenny Lyons, Sandy Mason, Angie Smothers, Ephriom Smothers, Tammy Deaton-Adams, Charles Lyons, Shannon(Lyons)Campbell, and Billy Lyons; seventeen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Arnold Lyons Sr.; sons, Arnold Lyons Jr. and Charles Lyons Sr.; daughters, Charlene Lyons and infant Debbie Lyons; brother, Homer Bach; sister Irene Perin; granddaughter, Jacquline(Lyons)Stover.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at Grayson Funeral Home, Charlestown with burial in Charlestown Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 11 A.M. until time of service.
