Helen M. King Boldery passed away on July 12, 2026, at the age of 92. Born on September 8, 1933, she was the daughter of George Higgins and Mamie Handlon, both of whom preceded her in death.

Helen’s life was defined by the deep bonds she forged. She was devoted first to her husband, Charles Lee King, with whom she built much of her family life. Following Charles’s passing, she found companionship in marriage once more with Glen Boldery, who also predeceased her. She was a member of the First Christian Church of New Washington, a true gardener with a green thumb for flowers, especially her trumpet tree, and enjoyed finding a great bargain at one of the numerous yard sales she would stop at.

Helen is survived by her son, Randy King and wife Carolyn; daughters, Debbie McDaniel and husband Allen, Janet Curry, and Barbara Williams; Helen’s legacy continues through her sisters Margaret Geyman and Tulsa Smith, whose kinship and memories will endure. Helen’s memory will continue in her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild, each of whom was a part of her family’s story.

She was preceded in death by her son, Charles Allen King; her parents; her siblings, Georgine Neal, James Higgins, Ronald L. Higgins, Everett Gayl Griffin; and her sons-in-law, Larry Curry and Douglas Williams.

Private services were held for Helen on Friday, July 17, 2026, where she was laid to rest beside her husband, Charles.
