Helen Crystal Hayes, 99 of Marysville, IN passed away on Friday February 13, 2015
at the home of her daughter.
She was born on December 19, 1915 in Butler County, KY to Harlan D. and Josephine Embry Ingram. She was a retired assistant post master at the Marysville Post Office, a member of the Marysville Christian Church and the Clark County Always Welcome Homemakers Club. She was the youngest of seven children and the last surviving. She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years Hilbert Hayes.
Survivors include her son; Phillip R. Hayes (Kay) of Jeffersonville, IN, daughters; Linda Pennington (Dennis) of New Washington, IN and Karen Jackson (Stewart) of Bethlehem, IN, grandchildren; Janna O’Leary (Tom) of Schoharie, NY, Michael Hayes (Tammy) of Elizabethtown, KY, Jody Sexton (Tim) of New Washington, IN, Andi Pennington (Charles) of New Washington, IN, Christi Mullins (Joshua) of Marysville, IN and Lucas Jackson of Louisville, KY, great grandchildren; Morgan Hayes of Louisville, KY, Phillip, Anna and John Michael Hayes all of Elizabethtown, KY, Jack O’Leary of Schoharie, NY, Kaitlyn & Collin Schindler of New Washington, IN and Calvin & Benjamin Mullins of Marysville, IN.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday February 16, 2015 at Grayson Funeral Home in New Washington with burial in Crown Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from Noon to 8 p.m. on Sunday and after 9 a.m. on Monday.
