Helen Jean Harmon

Helen Jean Harmon, 86, formerly of Charlestown, IN, passed away on Wednesday, October 7, 2020 at Westminster Health Care Center in Clarksville, IN.

She was born on March 13, 1934 in Roxana, KY to Tilford and Marie Ison Crace. Helen was a member of the Charlestown Independent Church and retired as the Treasurer for Charlestown High School for over 20 years and enjoyed knitting in her spare time.  She is preceded in death by her parents, son, David Harmon and brothers, Glenn Crace, Tilford Crace, Jr. and Richard Crace.

Helen is survived by her brothers, Bill  Crace (Betty) of Charlestown, Ira Crace (Cathy) of Frankfort, KY and Leon Crace (Cindy) of New Albany, IN; sisters, Evelyene Wheatley of Sellersburg, IN, Betty Bartholomai (Stanley) of Loveland, CO, Jeanette Bates (Larry) of Georgetown, IN, Janet Propes and JoAnn Helton (Tom) both of Charlestown, daughter-in-law, Diane Harmon of Charlestown and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday October 10, 2020 at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown, with burial to follow in Charlestown Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday and after 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
