Mrs. Gerkins was a native of Auburn, KY, a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church in Charlestown, and a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother. She is survived by her husband Edward, Son Paul Mackey (LiEllen), and a sister Kathleen Rogers. She is also survived by her grandchildren Brandi Haus and Brian Fritze, and her great grandchildren Tyler, Evan, Clayton, Kyle, and Alexis. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Vista Care Hospice.
