Heather Faith Vaughn, a devoted stay-at-home mom cherished for raising three children steeped in faith and strong family values, passed away on May 11, 2026, in New Albany, Indiana. Born on May 3, 1957, in Louisville, Kentucky, Heather’s vibrant spirit and steadfast faith touched the lives of all who knew her.

A proud graduate of Charlestown High School’s Class of 1976, Heather exemplified community and dedication throughout her life. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church for 25 years, where her deep faith and love for sharing the Lord’s word were a shining light to many. Known for her outgoing, lively personality, Heather was a social butterfly—outspoken in the best way, with a wonderful sense of humor that could brighten any room. Her friends and family fondly remember her as friendly, and full of life, with a uniquely sporadic charm that was unmistakably her own.

Heather’s joy extended beyond family and faith into her hobbies and interests. A passionate fan of the Indiana Hoosiers and her beloved Charlestown Pirates, she treasured the memories of bowling nights spent with her family growing up. She also loved playing euchre, singing, and dancing, activities that reflected her joyful and spirited nature. Family traditions were especially dear to her heart, including gatherings at Captain D’s.

She takes pride in having raised three children who have carried forward her cherished family values and faith, a legacy she held as her proudest accomplishment. Heather is survived by her loving sons Noah Vaughn (Haley) and Joel Vaughn (Krystal), and her daughter Faith Vaughn. She is also lovingly remembered by her sisters Dolores (Kenny) Mitchell and Joy Begley; and her grandchildren Caleb Atchison, Owen Atchison, Joshua Atchison, Desiree Vaughn, Selah Vaughn, and Sutton Vaughn.

Heather is preceded in death by her parents Benjamin H. Beatty and Rose Marie Beatty, her sister Melody S. Beatty, and her brothers Keith and Stephen Beatty.
