Guy Donald Smith, 81 of Jeffersonville, IN passed away on Sunday December 13, 2015 at his home.
Mr. Smith was born on August 5, 1934 in Louisville, KY to Guy C. and Virginia K. Brookshire Smith. He was a member of the Eastern Heights Baptist Church in Jeffersonville.
Mr. Smith is survived by his wife of 57 years Emma McKinney Smith, son, Scott Smith (Amy) of McKinney, TX; daughters, Deborah Peyton (Darrell) of Marysville, IN and Julianna (Garry) Pavey of Charlestown, IN; sister, Rosalind Brown of Bowling Green, KY; grandchildren, Matt Peyton (Sara), Lynsey Peyton, Nathan Pavey, Elizabeth Harper (Buddy), Braden and Samantha Smith; great grandchildren Luke and Solomon Peyton and extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Friday December 18, 2015 at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown with burial in Charlestown Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday from 3 pm to 8 pm and after 9 am on Friday. Expressions of sympathy can be made to the building fund at Eastern Heights Baptist Church in Jeffersonville.
The family would also like to give a special thanks to everyone with Gentiva Hospice, and their neighbors for all the care they provided.
