Grace Evelyn Farmer, 99, of New Albany, IN and formerly of Charlestown, passed away on Sunday, November 23, 2014 at River Crossing Assisted Living in Charlestown.
She was born on August 8, 1915 to Sam and Lela (Fitzlar) Williams in Clark Co., IN. She was a retired cook for Pleasant Ridge Elementary, and a member of the First Baptist Church in Charlestown, IN. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Raymond Farmer, and a son, Larry Farmer.
Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Susie Jenks of New Albany, IN; grandsons, Scott Farmer of New Albany, IN, and Mark Farmer of Perth, Australia; granddaughter, Sharon Bullock of Baton Rouge, LA; 4 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held on Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at 1pm at the Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown, with burial to follow in the Charlestown Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Wednesday after 11am.
