Gerald "Steve" Steven Myers

Gerald Steven “Steve” Myers, 76 of Charlestown, IN passed away on November 28, 2020 at Autumn Woods Health Campus. Steve was born on March 15, 1944 in Hibernia, IN to John W. and Bertha Hart Myers. He was a retired Allstate Insurance Agent and Manager of Charlestown Civic Center.  Steve was a huge sports fan, a Dodger baseball fan, enjoyed attending high school sports on a regular basis and classic country music. Steve was a veteran of the United States Army and member of Community Presbyterian Church in Charlestown and attended Northside Christian Church as well as Christian Assembly Church in New Albany. He was a loyal husband, father, brother and friend. He is preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Brenda Jeffries and Mary Jo Cain, brothers-in-law, H.B. Falls and John Henry Cain and granddaughter, Evelyn. Survivors include his wife of 53 years Yong Suk “Sue” Myers; son, Dan (Allison) Myers of Louisville, KY; daughters, Caroline Myers of New Albany, IN and Johanna (Dan Jones)  Myers of Louisville, KY; granddaughter, Jacquelyn; brother, Randall Lewis Myers of Jeffersonville, IN; sisters, Anita Falls of Springfield, MO and Phyllis (Thomas) Nevitt of Louisville, KY; several nieces and nephews; and a whole host of family and friends. Life Celebration services will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday Dec. 3, 2020 at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown with burial in Charlestown Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 1 pm on Thursday.
