Geraldine M. (Shaper) Miller

Geraldine M. Miller 84 of Marysville IN passed away on Friday, July 7, 2023, at Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany, IN.  She was born on September 3, 1938, in Warren, Michigan to Leslie E and Lila Sarrick Shaper.

Geraldine was an excellent cook and loved to bake bread, knit, and crochet.  She worked at several restaurants and fed many people throughout her working career, and finally retired while working for her family, in their bakery.

Geraldine is preceded in death by her parents; husband, John Miller II; her sister, Sharon Mesaros; and a great-granddaughter, Olivia Reid.

She is survived by her daughter, Louann DeFlicie of Arizona; her son, John ‘Flip’ Miller, and his wife Sara of Marysville, IN; grandchildren, John Miller IV, Carl R. Jenkins, Misty Miller, David S. Miller, Amber D. Miller, Mackenzie Miller, Isiah Miller, Julian Krett, Marcus Krett, and Kristina Krett; and by her great-grandchildren, Sean, Jaxson, Madie, Gracie, Logan, Mason, Heavenly, and Karlie.

Life Celebration services will be held on Tuesday, July 11, 2023, at 2:00 pm at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown.  The family will receive friends from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm on Tuesday, at the funeral home.

Burial will follow at Charlestown Cemetery in Charlestown.
