Gerald (Jerry) Ray Annis, 71 of Henryville, IN died Wednesday May 14, 2014 at his home.
He was born in New Washington, IN on November 9, 1942 to Ray and Geraldine Annis. He was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in December 1965 and was an elder of the Charlestown Congregation.
He was preceded in death by both of his parents and his brother James “Ike” Annis. He worked at Colgate for 26 years and spent the rest of his working life in wholesale and retail auto parts.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years Nancy Boyd Annis, three daughters; Jennifer Dowhower (Rob), Melissa Cunningham (Chris) and Amy Miller (Jason). He leaves two granddaughters, Baylee and Greta who were the light of his life.
The family has chosen cremation. Grayson Funeral Home is making the arrangements. There will be a Memorial service on Saturday May 24, 2014 at 2:30 pm at the Charlestown Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses located at 12421 Highway 62 Charlestown, IN 47111 with visitation from 12 pm to 2 pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to “Jehovah’s Witnesses”. Please send these donations to the address listed above.
