George David Sexton

George David Sexton, Sr., 80, passed away Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at Scott Memorial Hospital.
He was born on January 30, 1930 to Ernest Newton, Sr. and Lou Belle Shelton Sexton in English, KY. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War, a retired worker for the old ICI Americas, and a member of the Charlestown Independent Church. He is preceded in death by his parents and his son Danny Newton Sexton.
Survivors include his wife, Marjorie Giesler Sexton; son, George D. Sexton, Jr. of Charlestown, IN; daughter, Sue Ann Sexton of Henryville, IN; sister, Ruth K. Richmond of Louisville, KY; grandchildren, Jennifer Brown, Christopher West, Alex Sexton, and Brandon Sexton; great grandchildren, Deana, Bailen, and Breanna Brown.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 7, 2011 at 11am at the Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown, with burial in the Charlestown Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 2pm to 8pm and after 9am on Friday.
