George Ronald Clapp Sr. age 74 of Marysville, IN passed away on Saturday, July 12, 2014 at his residence.
Mr. Clapp was born August 15, 1939 in Scott County, IN the son of George E. and Mary Florence Graves Clapp. He retired in 1992 after 32 years as a Machine Operator for the old Colgate Plant, was the former owner of Clapp LP Gas, active in the Goodwill program and a member of New Market Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include his sons, Ronnie Clapp and his wife Paula of Sellersburg, IN and Mark Clapp of Jeffersonville, IN; daughter, Lori Darsillo and her husband Michael of Lancaster, Pennsylvania; mother, Mary Florence Clapp of Marysville, IN; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Velma Clapp, son David Clapp and his father George E. Clapp.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. at the Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown with burial in Barnes Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 3:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. and after 10:00 A.M. Wednesday until time of service.
