George Robert Cherry, 76 of Otisco, IN died on Saturday February 7, 2015 at his home.
Mr. Cherry was born on May 11, 1938 in Clay County, TN to Garland E. and Mae Wood Cherry Sr. He was a retired electrician from Jeffboat Inc. after working there for 36 years. He was a member of the New Washington Masonic Lodge #167 and was a 32nd Degree Mason.
He is survived by his wife; Joyce Fields Cherry, son; Barry Cherry (Charles Spriggs) of Otisco, daughter; Pamela Harris (Jerry) of Otisco, brother; Garland E. Cherry, Jr., of Hibernia and sisters; Dorothy G. Giltner of New Washington, IN and Anna Mae Anderson of Scottsburg, IN, grandchildren; James Robert Harris of Louisville, KY and Brandie Leigh Harris of Madison, IN, great grandchildren Matthew Don Harris and Maleah Jane Harris.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday February 11, 2015 at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown with burial in Crown Hill Cemetery in New Washington. Visitation will be from 11 am to 8 pm on Tuesday and after 9 am on Wednesday. Masonic services will be held at 7 pm on Tuesday
