Gary Wesley Williams, 69, of New Albany, IN passed away on Friday September 23, 2016.

He was born on July 16, 1947 in New Albany to Clarence W. and Josephine Kirtley Williams.  He was a retired supervisor for the old Rohm-Haas in Louisville, KY and formerly worked at Horseshoe Casino.  He was a member of St. James United Methodist Church in Jeffersonville, IN; he was the Most Worshipful Grand Master of the Prince Hall Grand Lodge Jurisdiction of Indiana.  He was also a member of the VFW in Clarksville. Gary was a long time member and Past Master (Served 10 consecutive years) of North Star Lodge #3 F. & A.M. (PHA) in Jeffersonville, IN. Past District Deputy Grand Master of the Southeast District MWPHGL Jurisdiction of Indiana. Member, Past Commander & Chief and a Sovereign Grand Inspector General of Malta Consistory #34 (PHA) on Columbus, IN. Member, Past Potentate, and Past Imperial Deputy of the Oasis of Jeffersonville of Tyre Temple #129 A.E.A.O.N.M.S. (PHA).  Member and current Worthy Patron of Jericho Chapter No. 7 Order of the Eastern Star (PHA). As of July 31, 2016, Gary W. Williams 33⁰ was installed as The Most Worshipful Grand Master of the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge F. & A.M. Jurisdiction of Indiana.He was preceded in death by his father.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Oglesby Williams; daughters, April Williams of Nashville, TN and Brittany Green (Damein) of Huntsville, AL; mother, Josephine Williams of New Albany; sister, Janet McCadden (Kenneth) of New Albany; brother, Dale Williams of Jeffersonville; and a host of nieces and nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 12 pm on Friday September 30, 2016 at Wesley United Methodist Church, 1201 Thomas Bryant Blvd, Jeffersonville, IN 47130 with entombment at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany.  Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4 pm to 8:30 pm at the church with Masonic services to be held at 6:30 pm.  Visitation continues on Friday after 11 am.  Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown is in care of the arrangements.
