Garnett Mae Rice, 85 of Charlestown passed away on Friday, January 9, 2015 at her residence.
She was born on March 12, 1929 the daughter of Warren and Bertie Hanger Tolley in Lexington, VA. She was a former cafeteria worker at Charlestown Middle School, and a member of the First Baptist Church in Charlestown.
She is survived by her daughters Margie Leeseberg of Charlestown, Betty Schindler of Cincinnati, OH, and Debbie Rice of Charlestown 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Wilbur Rice, son Randy Rice, and grandson Phillip Schindler.
Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday at 11:00 A.M. on January 13, 2015 at the Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown with burial in Charlestown Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday from 4 to 8:00 P.M. and after 9:00 A.M. until time of service on Tuesday.
