She was born on September 5, 1961 in Havana, IL to John and Neola Welker Sr. She also attended Henryville Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her father, John Welker Sr. and sister, Mattie Welker.
Freda is survived by her daughter, Shannon Ponder of Charlestown, IN; son, Shiloh Hall of Charlestown; mother, Neola Ferguson of Scottsburg; brothers, John H. Welker Jr., of Chipley, FL, Joseph Welker of Murfreesboro, TN, David Lockett of Maryville, TN; sisters, Victoria Welker of Murfreesboro, TN and April Ferguson of New York; grandchildren, Christopher Ponder, Anthony Spurling, Lydia Heath, and Xander Hall.
Cremation was chosen with a memorial service to be held at a later date.
