Freda W. Smith, 74, of Charlestown, passed away on Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at Sellersburg Health & Rehab.
She was born on June 5, 1937 to Carl Ernest and Nellie Ruth Wallace Miller in Jefferson Co., KY. She was a switchboard operator for University Hospital and Audubon Hospital in Louisville.
Survivors include her husband, Eugene Smith; son, Rodger Smith of Scottsburg, IN; daughter, Rhonda Smith of Otisco, IN; step-daughters, Jeanette DiBenedetti of Augusta, ME, and Pat Little of Melbourne, FL; brother, Ralph Miller of Jeffersonville, IN;
sisters, Faye McCombs of Clarksville, IN, and Lee Burt of Jeffersonville, IN; 7 Grandchildren; 9 Great-Grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Friday April, 6, 2012 at 1pm at the Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown, with burial to follow in the Old Salem Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 12pm to 8pm and after 9am on Friday.
