Frank Shane Wayne Davidson, 34, of Charlestown passed away Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at Floyd Memorial Hospital.
He was born on April 5, 1979 to Johnny Wayne and Janet Marie(Cissell) Davidson in Clark County, IN. He was a former DJ and promotions director for WDJX radio, a substitute teacher for Greater Clark County Schools, and a sound producer for Tin Roof Productions of Louisville. He was a member of the Edwardsville United Methodist Church in Georgetown, member of the Blazing Star Masonic Lodge #226, a community volunteer for Habitat for Humanity, and attended several mission trips. He also was the former announcer for the Pirates and Lady Pirates basketball teams, a band volunteer for several years for Charlestown and Jeffersonville High Schools. He was the founder of the Pike Charter of IUS Alumni, and he appeared in numerous local plays and appeared in the movie “Country Strong.” Shane was also a organ donor. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, William E. Cissell, Sr.; grandmother, Lorene Myers; and a brother, Troy Lee Davidson.
Survivors include his parents, Wayne and Janet Davidson of Charlestown, IN; grandparents, Frank and Thelma Jo Davidson of Charlestown, IN; aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at 1pm at the Edwardsville United Methodist Church in Georgetown, with burial to follow in the Charlestown Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Monday from 2pm to 8pm at the Grayson Funeral Home, and after 11am on Tuesday at the church. Masonic services will be held on Monday, September 23rd at 7pm at the funeral home.
