Forest “Buck” Elmo Noe, 92, passed away Sunday, February 13, 2011 at his home.
He was born on September 18, 1918 to Harry and Bertha Taflinger Noe in Nabb, IN. He was an Army Veteran of WWII, a retired pipe fitter and a Witness for Christ. He was a member of the New Washington Masonic Lodge and a member of the North Charlestown Church of God. He is preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife; Geneva Newsom Noe; daughter; Dorothy Noe Pollard and husband Charles of Lexington, KY; step-sons; Edward “Culpepper” Cooper of Jeffesonville, IN and Ex-Wife Debbie Cooper, and Lonnie Tom Cooper and wife Judge Vicki Carmichael of Jeffersonville, IN; step-daughter; Jackie Cooper of Charlestown, IN, and; sisters; Ruth Prather of Jeffersonville, IN, Violet Crabtree of Jeffersonville, IN, and Katherine Fuller of Jeffersonville, IN; 7 Grandchildren, 5 Great Grandchildren, and 3 Great Great Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Friday at 10am at the Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown, with burial in the Crown Hill Cemetery in New Washington, IN. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 3pm to 8pm and after 9am on Friday. Masonic Services will be held on Thursday evening at 7pm at the funeral home. Military services will be provided by the American Legion Post 335 and VFW Post 1427 of Charlestown.
