Evelyn “Tootie” Shuman, 66 of Charlestown died Thursday July 3, 2014 at Kentuckiana Medical Center in Clarksville, IN
She was born on August 27, 1947 in Jeffersonville, IN to Charles and Helen Houchens Nash. She was a former housekeeper and attended Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church in Charlestown. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Robert Eugene Nash.
Tootie is survived by her husband; Blair Shuman, Jr., daughter; Gina L. Hodge of Charlestown, sons; Eric L. Pryor of Scottsburg, IN and Brett W. Shuman of Hanford, CA., brothers; Barkley Nash of Sarasota, FL, Randy and Paul Nash both of Charlestown, sister; Joan K. Herman of Gilbertsville, KY, 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday July 9, 2014 at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown with burial in Old Salem Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 pm to 8 pm on Tuesday and after 9 am on Wednesday.
