Evelyn Fay Gellhaus, 91 of Charlestown, IN passed away on Saturday August 22, 2015 at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville, IN.
Fay was born on September 7, 1923 in Floyd County, IN to William P and Mary Seitz Schoen. She was a former manager in the Federal Farm Program a lifetime member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and a member of St. Michael Catholic Church in Charlestown. She was preceded in death by her husband John Gellhaus.
Survivors include her sisters, Mildred Mayfield of Corydon, IN and Mary Klinstiver of Edwardsville, IN; sister-in-law, Dorothy Schoen of Elizabeth, IN; nieces and nephews, Lee Klinstiver (Dora) of New Albany, IN, Bill Schoen of Elizabeth, Lyle Mayfield of Corydon, IN and Dale Mayfield of Crawford Co., IN; Becky Fetz (Rick) of Georgetown, IN, Mary Louise Mayfield of Corvallis, OR, Betty Mayfield, Delores Minton (Bill) of Greenwood, IN, Linda Barley (Kevin) of Elizabeth, Thomas McCoy (Judy) of Jeffersonville, IN, John McCoy (Joyce) McCoy of Marysville, IN Jean Randall (Gordon) of Jeffersonville, and Michael Todovich (Glenna) of Taylorsville, KY.
Funeral Mass will be held at 10 am on Thursday August 27, 2015 at St. Michael Catholic Church with burial in St. Michael Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 pm to 8 pm on Wednesday and after 9 am on Thursday at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown.
